Humanizing Healthcare Through Partnership — IDS, the 49ers & Miami Children’s Hospital

Overview

As Head of Marketing at IDS (now Abbadox Cloud), I led a heartwarming and high-impact initiative in partnership with the San Francisco 49ers and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (formerly Miami Children’s Hospital). The goal was simple but powerful: reduce anxiety and bring moments of joy to pediatric patients facing serious health challenges.

Objective

  • Strengthen IDS’s community involvement and brand presence through a mission-driven initiative.
  • Create national visibility for IDS by aligning with trusted, beloved organizations.
  • Demonstrate how Abbadox Cloud supports healthcare providers in not only delivering care—but also compassion.

Strategy & Execution

I developed and coordinated a unique partnership that combined healthcare, sports, and philanthropy:

  • Ferrari Power Wheels Donation:
    IDS donated custom Ferrari-themed Power Wheels cars to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, allowing young patients to drive themselves to treatment and surgery—helping reduce stress and foster a sense of control and fun in a clinical environment.
  • Celebrity Engagement:
    NFL star Pierre Garçon of the San Francisco 49ers joined the event, handing out teddy bears and spending quality time with the children and their families. His presence amplified the impact, creating emotional connections and memorable moments for everyone involved.
  • Media and Storytelling:
    I orchestrated media outreach and storytelling around the event, focusing on the children’s experiences and the emotional value of small joys in difficult moments.

Results

  • National media coverage including a feature by ESPN, which significantly amplified IDS’s message and goodwill.
  • Elevated brand recognition for IDS (Abbadox Cloud), positioning the company as not just a technology leader, but a compassionate healthcare partner.
